The Cherry On Top: Simple Ways To Complete The Perfect Look

Outfit tips you need in your life.

We’ve all had that moment. You spend hours trawling through your closet, trying on different outfits, and attempting to find the perfect combination. You finally find something that you really like but, for some reason that you can’t quite figure out, it feels like there’s something missing. As though you’ve got a jigsaw puzzle that’s 99% completed but there’s a single piece right in the middle that’s missing.

This is, obviously, seriously frustrating and it can affect how you feel about your entire outfit. Luckily, it’s not something that you just have to put up with. Instead, here are some things that you can do to put that finally, essential detail into your outfit that will finally make it complete.

Accessories

When it comes to the perfect outfit, it often comes down to the little details. A little extra bit of trim here and there can often make all of the difference in the world to a piece of clothing, and the right accessory can elevate an outfit from decent to amazing. The most obvious accessory is, of course, a bag.

Now, don’t worry, you don’t need a different bag for every outfit. Instead, having a really great bag from somewhere like LuxeDH that goes with a whole variety of outfits is a much better bet. The same goes for jewelry as well. Being able to mix and match things is far better than having a huge draw of items that only work with a single outfit.

Makeup

A lot of people have a fairly consistent makeup routine that they tend to stick with every day no matter what. Perhaps they’ll have a daytime and nighttime look, but otherwise, things will be pretty consistent. However, why not think about matching your makeup to your outfits? By coordinating those two things then you’re going to be in a much better position to create a totally unique, dynamic look. Sure, it’s only a small touch, but you really will feel the difference.

A splash of color

It’s a real shame when you find an ensemble that you really like, but it ends up feeling kind of bland because all of the colors are a little muted and samey. The clothes might all fit wonderfully, but they’re not really making much of a statement. Well if that’s the case, then why not embrace a little splash of color.

Something simple like a scarf, or a signature piece of jewelry can add a huge amount of contrast to your outfit. This means that you’re not only distracting from the muted colors, but you’re actually using it as a way to make your outfit more striking.

Of course, finding the right outfit in the first place can often be seriously difficult in and of itself. Because of that, it’s a good idea to keep your wardrobe to a selection of specific pieces and that you don’t cram your closet full of hundreds of clothes that you’re never going to wear. Having a few key outfits can make your life a whole lot easier without having to sacrifice your style.
